About Margate Cookery School
Margate Cookery School is run by Margate Old Town restauranteurs Kate, Harry and Simona. The school offers fun and accessible food and drink classes in the heart of Margate. We showcase the wealth of culinary talent right here in Thanet, so as well as ourselves, expect to see lots of the other brilliant local chefs, foragers, bakers and barmen on our class schedule. As proud as we are of the burgeoning food scene here in Thanet, we also host classes from people we admire wherever they hail from.
Booking Policy
Allergies: Please let us know when booking whether you have any food allergies or intolerances. Nuts, gluten and other allergens are present in our kitchen at all times.Minimum age requirement: Classes with knives have a minimum age requirement of 16+ years. For other classes, 14 & 15 year olds are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult who is also taking the class. Health & safety: Please follow any health & safety advice and instruction given to you by your tutor. Closed-toe shoes must be worn.
Use of knives and other liabilities: Some lessons will include the use of knives. Whilst the tutor will instruct you and how best and safely use your knife, it is your responsibility to work safely and we will ask you to sign that you will indemnify and hold us and our employees and shareholders harmless from all claims, damages, liabilities and causes of action which may arise as a result of: a. any injuries or damages you sustain, or that your guest or anyone affiliated or connected with you, may sustain in connection with us or resulting in directly or indirectly from your or your guest’s, or affiliated or connected persons, involvement in our cooking classes. As well as: b. your preparation, storage, re-heating and consumption of food after your class; c. any loss of personal property whilst on our premises; Images
We often take photographs of our lessons and may use the images on our website and social media channels and by signing our waiver you give us permission to do so (you may opt out of photographs).
Cancellation Policy

If a class does not have enough participants we may need to cancel. In this instance you will be offered a full refund with as much notice as practicable given to yourself.
If you need to cancel for any reason other than a cancellation by ourselves, we reserve the right to charge a £5 admin charge to cover our card processing fees. Cancellations requested within 7 days of the class date may incur a 100% fee unless we are able to sell your ticket to another participant.
